DESCRIPTION:Year 9\, 10 and 11- Meet the Tutor: opportunity to meet the tutor and discuss common questions that parents may have\, along with sharing information about individual needs. \nStudent-teacher Mentor Meetings: For students who need additional academic mentoring\, and have been allocated a mentor\, parents will be invited to meet with the mentor and student in Term One. This purpose is to ensure that expectations are clear\, goals are shared and pathways (courses and careers) are discussed. Students will spend time with their mentor preparing for this meeting. SUMMARY:PPTA Strike
DESCRIPTION:Teachers across NZ are holding an industrial strike day this Wednesday. This means that union members will not be working. Our college will remain open\, but our usual timetable will be suspended due to the unavailability of staff. The expectation is that students catch up on\, or revise work\, at home. \nFamilies who require their children to be onsite will need to let attendance@bdsc.school.nz know so a register can be maintained for safety purposes. Students coming in will be supervised in the library by non-union staff members. They will need to bring their personal learning devices with them to undertake individual and independent learning. \nPlease note our Uniform Shop will be closed on this day.
