Duke of Ed – Silver Adventurous Journey
On 11 May a group of 15 students embarked on a 3-day kayaking journey as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Silver practice and training journey. As a practice for their qualifying journey, they kayaked and camped for two nights at Mahurangi where they used their skills and knowledge to traverse on water and survive in the wilderness. MORE
Duke of Ed – Gold Adventurous Journey
From Monday 15 to Friday 19 April, five students from Waiuku ߲ݴý and three students from BDSC Anna Ding 13E2, Wesley Teh 12D9 and Ryan Kan 13E2 went on a kayaking journey in the Hauraki Gulf, from St Helier’s Bay to Waitawa Regional Park, making stops on many islands along the way. MORE
Trees for Survival 2024
On Friday 17 May, 40 BDSC students (along with two teachers, seven Fisher & Paykel staff and two university volunteers) journeyed to Clevedon for the annual Trees for Survival Day. On Thursday 23 May 15 students from BDSC had the privilege of attending the Young Free & Pacific event, a significant gathering for young Pasifika students in Years 11-13. This year marked the 10th Anniversary of the event, which began in 2014. It was a remarkable opportunity to delve deeper into our cultural roots and to find connections across the Pacific Ocean, which unites us as one large community. MORE

Model UN Assembly
Two BDSC teams took part in the Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) event at Rosmini ߲ݴý event recently. The Rotary-sponsored event attracted over 100 schools from the Auckland and Northland regions. It provided delegates with a hands-on insight into the workings of the United Nations.MORE
